
Constance Marie Lopez (born September 9, 1965)[1] is an American actress from the United States. Her roles include Angie Lopez in George Lopez (2002-2007) and Marcela Quintanilla, mother of Selena in Selena (1997). She played Regina Vasquez's character from the ABC Family/Freeform drama series Switched at Birth (2011-17). She is currently on Camila Diaz, the lead character in the Amazon Prime Video drama series Undone (1999). Marie began her acting career during her teens. She was able to get a role in the 1988 film Salsa. Other film and television credits include Early Edition, Dirty Dancing, Selena, Spin City, and Ally McBeal. Marie was chosen for the role as Angie Lopez in ABC's comedy series George Lopez. Marie appeared alongside Jacqueline Obradors, Hector Elizondo and Elizabeth Pena in the 2001 comedy-drama Tortilla Soup. Also, she appeared on the PBS drama series American Family. Her clothing line was launched "The Constance Marie" in October 2007. 2. She was featured in an ad by PETA advocating spaying and neutering pets. 3. Marie was the legal and birth mother of one of her daughters, Regina Vasquez. She appeared on the drama ABC Family/Freeform Switched at Birth from 2011 to 2017.
