She received BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for Best lead actress for"Jane Eyre," the BBC mini-series "Jane Eyre." She debuted as a performer on stage on the London scene in 2007 during The National Theatre's production of Maxim Gorky's Philistines, and starred in the Almeida Theatre adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's Through a Glass Darkly.
