Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The shadows she observed in the grass inspired her to spend months developing the technique that, does not, however, paint the object she chose onto canvas. Instead, the object is transformed into a reproduction of itself, where the surface transforms into the medium for it's personal interpretation by painting, particularly in the case of living or perishable items for example, like humans or fruit. Alexa Meade's paintings are ephemeral and the image is left. Because the photography and painting techniques are synchronized so tightly it creates a trompe l'oeil effect, that creates the illusion of 3D is only visible at certain points, such as the eye area and the hair. Sometimes, Meade integrates her painted models with the 3-dimensional space around them, allowing them to interact within their own self-created environment. The boundaries between performance, photography, installation and painting are thus dissolved.
