She was a sports reporter for some of the most prestigious outlets in the country. The journalist spent more than a decade reporting on sports for The Washington Post, including tennis, football and basketball. Nichols has won two Emmy Awards during her nine-year stint at ESPN as well as being featured on some of its most watched shows like NFL Countdown or SportsCenter, was transferred to ESPN following the year 2004. She was also one of the networks' Monday Night Football broadcasts as reporter on the sidelines. Her next move was CNN after which she joined Turner Sports. Unguarded: Rachel Nichols hosted her own show on CNN International. The show drew millions of viewers from the whole world. Nichols reported on NBA shows on TNT which included the playoffs, regular season as well as All-Star broadcasts. The work she did for TBS covered golf and baseball coverage as well as Final Four broadcasts by CBS. It is the only nomination in 42 years of the award for a female from the more than 200 nominees candidates.
