Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. There are more than 20 albums that have been made available by her. The songs of DiFranco are classified as folk or alternative rock. But, they are influenced by hip-hop music, jazz and punk. Ani Difranco is widely considered to be a symbol for feminist music. In 1990 she was one of the first artists to create her own label independently. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced in their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian ancestry and her mom was a Montreal native. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. The song is from her 1995 album Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio album. This song appears on the film's soundtrack the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized for hosting a workshop in Louisiana at an old slave plantation. She cancelled it however many (including this piece) were not able to sense any regret. DiFranco offered a second apology days later. She is known for her Little Folksinger songs, however she has worked with several music genres, from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. New Orleans is her home. Ani diFranco, and Kristen Ford are together. In the span of 14 months, DiFranco began writing her own lyrics. They performed in bars and coffeehouses throughout her teenage years. DiFranco began attending classes at Buffalo State College at age 16, after she graduated from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
